c or ban

(Posted by Corban with help from Mommy- He was sitting on my lap while I posted the pics of Dave's chopper and kept typing random letters. He picked this coloring page of Curious George to share with you. He typed his name all by himself- I told him what letter to type and he would find it and chicken peck it. He is such a cutie!)

es Finito!

Dave is so happy to be finished with this bike. It was a grueling month- I am sure, he would not wish to repeat. It is finished and probably on it's way across the country! Great job!
(Maybe I can get Dave to write some comments about the bike)

There goes my baby!

Today our cute Corban got on the bus and left us . . . for a few hours.
It was his first day at preschool. He was so dang cute. I was afraid he wouldn't want to leave when the moment came, but I practially had to run down the drive to catch him (and force him to give me a kiss.)
I was definitely more worried than he. He had such a great time. The bus driver did say he "is very . . . active." Duh. :)
His teacher reported mostly good news, and he was in a great mood when he returned home. He loves playing with kids and learning new things. We are so excited for him to have this opportunity.
I was anxious the whole time he was gone. Obviously, I have never handed him over to "strangers" before, so I was a bit aprehensive. His teacher appears to be so fantastic. You can see the genuine love she has for the kids, no matter what their situtaion. I am grateful the school district has such a great program and that they are very involved with the parents- which makes me feel better.
Things all turned out well- though I did keep looking down the street the last 15 minutes before the bus returned him. Such a fun first day for him.

Happy Birthday Corban! (tomorrow)

I can hardly believe it- But it was three years ago today that I drove the 20 miles to Orem Community Hospital after my phone call to the nurse- "uh, I think my water broke, but I am not sure, uh, . . ."

She kindly responded, "Congratulations, come on in."

I still wasn't completely convinced, but I got in my car.

That was at 9AM, 16 hours later (3/19/05 @1:18AM) our little nameless bundle entered the room. A day later we filled out the paperwork (so we could leave the hospital)-
Corban David Langston. I perfect present for Dave whose birthday is March 20.

He is such a cutie!

(The day he was born and three months old. )

Can you believe this is the same kid? He is growing too fast. (and, yes, he is standing on his leg, formally known as broken.) He still limps about when he is in a hurry, but he is out of the splint and no longer requires visits to the doctor. Thanks everyone for all your concern and love during the last month.

I am so lucky to have such great kids. Almost daily he does or says something that surprises me. My favorite is Okey Dokey- which sounds like "so-key, so-key!"

He is fully of imagination and love. Sometimes he surprises me when he comes up and grabs my face then gives me a hug and says "bank you mom." He can be so sweet- when he wants to. :)

----------------------------WE LOVE YOU CORBAN!----------------------------------

Rebecca has been requesting recent pictures of Isabelle for some time now-

so without further ado-

She is getting more steady on her feet. She even took two steps to Dave last week! They were flukes, but she is really enjoying walking around furniture and standing everywhere she can. Last night at FHE she was standing in front of Grandma Connie and would let go when the toy would play music and dance. It was so great for her to “show off” for Daddy and Grandma! I wish I would have had my camera! (thanks Jill for this pic)

Which Austen Heroine are You?

I am Elizabeth Bennet!

Thanks to my cousin Michelle I took this quiz. I am surprised, a bit, by my outcome. I always thought I was too outspoken to be Miss Elizabeth- but maybe I don't speak out as much as I used to. :) It’s all just fun anyway. Michelle is right that a few of the questions are hard to answer- the options are tailored to suit the characters and not me.

Find out who you are!

30 Day Build Bike

Only 30 days to build a chopper that resembles his green "no leaf clover" bike.
On the fifth day Dave started on it.
He had to put it aside until the autorama was finished and here we are 7 days from the March 20 deadline.
Dave has only worked on it about 10 days out of the 23 that he's had.
But it is coming along great! He is so very talented.

The last picture is what the bike started as.

Hurray! Make way!

This weekend marks a major milestone for Corban- HE IS WALKING!

The first video is so funny-our little sidewinder.

Now he is walking upstairs and even jumping about. It still hurts after a while, but he is getting strong again!

This is great news for me! I can walking into the store or the church without an ache in my back (It is hard to carry my purse, the diaper bag, and 2 kids- it's not like you can make 2 trips into the store . . . "Corban you wait here by these breakables, I am going out to the car to get Isabelle.")

Yes, he is carrying my leftover movie popcorn. I love that kid!

Before and After

I just thought I would post before and after pictures of our bathrooms. They are finally finished and it feels good to know the mold is gone. The upstairs bathroom has subtle changes- the floor and countertop.

The downstairs is really different, thought I think Dave and Dan will mourn the removal of that terrible, I mean fantastic wallpaper. :) I still need to put up the towel rack and maybe add a picture to the wall or something. I just love how open and clean it looks.

There were never such devoted sisters

This weekend we had the opportunity to have our yearly sister get together. We went to West Side Story and on Sunday we attended Music and the Spoken Word. (Mom-You don't know how many people tell me they love to find you in the choir. Jeanette says she gets to watch you every week in the MTC.)

We also were blessed to visit our sweet Aunt Janet at the hospital in SLC. She means so much to us and pray her recovery is not too unbearable. Pray for her- she is in so much pain after the back surgery. She is so amazing.

It was fun to have all the girls reunited. We only get to see each other about every six months. Thanks Mom for organizing everything! We had so much fun- and hopefully Jeff and Dad had fun with us too!
